SHANE EDMOND
CHAIRPERSON / INDEPENDENT DIRECTOR
Shane has extensive experience in the financial markets having worked in London and New Zealand for more than 30 years, including over 20 years with leading New Zealand wealth management company Forsyth Barr.
Shane was an inaugural member of the Financial Market Authority’s Code Committee for Financial Advisers prior to his appointment to the Financial Advice Code Working Group by the Minister of Commerce and Consumer Affairs in 2017.
Shane currently holds the position of Company Director on a number of Boards and served as an Executive Director on the Board of the Forsyth Barr Group, from 2008 to December 2023. Shane also previously held the position of Deputy Chairperson of the NZ Markets Disciplinary Tribunal.
Shane has a number of private investments in New Zealand, including a shareholding in Reefton Distilling Co.
MARTIN SMITH
INDEPENDENT DIRECTOR
A professional company director and international strategic marketing and business development expert, Martin has more than 25 years’ experience in the consumer goods sector, including 19 years with leading global personal care company L’Oréal.
Martin’s international senior executive roles with L’Oréal included NZ Country Manager and Zone Director for Asia Pacific, MEA and Western Europe. Martin was also a member of one of L’Oréal’s Global Divisional Management Committees.
A commerce graduate of the University of Auckland and the University of Michigan USA Advanced School of Management, Martin is a Member of the NZ Institute of Directors.
